Competition Teams

ECHO School of Dance has competition teams based on skill level. Being a part of one of the teams at ESD is a wonderful experience for students to learn teamwork, gain responsibility, build self confidence, and increase stage presence by getting multiple performance opportunities throughout the year. Dancers also gain deeper exposure to the broader dance world through competitions and conventions, and experience the joy of winning awards including trophies and potentially scholarships.

What is the commitment?

ESD teams meet twice per week and every first & third Saturday of each month in addition to the standard schedule of ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip-hop, and stretch/condition classes. All team dancers are required to sign up for our monthly Unlimited Dance Contract and take ballet, stretch & condition, and jazz/leaps & turns classes. Additional practices will be added as needed throughout the year, especially close to competition dates. Performances will be added throughout the year such as halftime shows, Festival of Trees, high school dance showcases, community events, etc. Please note every team student is required to sign a contract (September-June). If the student leaves the team early for any reason, all remaining fees must be paid in full immediately. Please contact the studio for more information including fees, travel requirements, and competition information.
