Competition Teams

ECHO School of Dance has competition teams based on skill level. Being a part of one of the teams at ESD is a wonderful experience for students to learn teamwork, gain responsibility, build self confidence, and increase stage presence by getting multiple performance opportunities throughout the year. Dancers also gain deeper exposure to the broader dance world through competitions and conventions, and experience the joy of winning awards including trophies and potentially scholarships.

How to join?

We are holding auditions for our 2019-2020 Competition Teams on May 28-29 for dancers ages 3-18 who are interested in joining one of our teams. Please note the following times (age is determined as of Jan 1, 2020).

  • Ages 7-9: 7:00-8:30pm
  • Ages 10 & Older: 4:00-6:00pm

Attire for auditions is black dancewear. For those interested in learning more, an informational parent meeting will be held at the studio on May 18 from 10:30am-Noon.

What is the commitment?

All team dancers are required to sign up for our monthly Unlimited Dance Contract and take ballet, stretch & condition, and jazz/leaps & turns classes. Additional practices will be added as needed throughout the year, especially close to competition dates.
